If you’ve ever endured a flight next to a crying baby or with a little kid kicking your seat, then you might want to consider booking with Corendon Airlines. As Conde Nast Traveler reports, the Turkish carrier is introducing a new adults-only section starting in November. It will be available on flights between Amsterdam and Curaçao.
The “Only Adult” zone, which will be situated at the front of the plane, will be available only to passengers ages 16 and up. The airline believes this will improve the flying experiences of those with and without children. The hope is that this new section will appeal to business travelers who desire to work in a quiet environment.
Of course, there is an upcharge to fly in the child-free section. According to the article, passengers will pay an additional 45-100 Euros, depending upon if they are in a standard or extra-legroom seat.
While Corendon is the first European carrier to introduce an adults-only option, Scoot, a low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has offered Scoot-in-Silence cabins for about five years now. It is reserved for passengers over the age of 12.
