Don’t let airport security stress you out. That’s one of the main messages from a former Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agent who is now going viral with his TikTok posts sharing travel tips and tricks he learned while working at the world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. With over 150,000 followers, Business Insider spoke to this travel influencer, who also pens the travel newsletter Gate Access.

Harmony, as he is known on social media, garnered over 1 million views when he revealed that you can bring water, or any liquid, with you through airport security as long as it’s frozen. This is confirmed on the TSA website, which states that frozen liquid items are permitted “as long as they are frozen solid when presented for screening.” However, “if frozen liquid items are partially melted, slushy, or have any liquid at the bottom of the container, they must meet 3-1-1 liquids requirements.”

He also points out that travelers can bring their own food through security, provided it is not liquid or gel. Meaning, you can save yourself some money and not purchase overpriced airport food – simply pack a sandwich or pasta salad.

Did you know that TSA permits food and drink in these situations? Message The Seniors Trust on Facebook or Twitter and let us know what you will bring to eat or drink at the airport for your next flight.
